Applications Now Open! The Program Developing Our Community’s Future Leaders

Whether you’re looking to develop yourself personally and professionally, strengthen your succession planning by investing in your employees, Leadership Sarpy is the tool you need and applications for the 2023/2024 class are now open.

With Leadership Sarpy you just need one day a month for nine months to focus on your personal and professional full potential. This course will get you in front of elected officials, give a close-up view of what’s going on in Sarpy County, sharpen your leadership and personal development skills and help you form long lasting friendships in the business community.

The program kicks off with an orientation in the summer, followed shortly with a two-day retreat where the class will enjoy teambuilding activities designed to foster relationships and fast-track interpersonal communication. From there the class will meet once a month for an exciting curriculum that covers professional development, crisis management, volunteerism and more. The group will also go on unique tours of local institutions like Offutt Air Force Base, health care facilities, as well as county and state government visits.

Over the course of Leadership Sarpy, participants are assigned to smaller teams and tasked with creating a Legacy Project. These are community initiatives created by Leadership Sarpy teams that allow them to directly apply their new skills and knowledge to a project that will leave a lasting, positive impact on Sarpy County.

As each group develops, researches and implements their projects, connections form and people join together for their cause. This is how communities grow strong and that makes the Legacy Projects such a special part of the Leadership Sarpy Program.

We are incredibly proud of the work our past classes have accomplished and the program’s alumni continue to carry their Leadership Sarpy experiences with them still.
