Anyone visually impaired can enjoy America’s favorite pastime with beeping baseballs and beeping bases. The first half of the day will go through practice stations which include catching grounders, running bases, batting off a tee and live pitching from members of the Iowa Reapers Beep Baseball team. Then it’s time for a game with all players, sighted or visually impaired, wearing sleep shades to even the playing field. Sign up at the link below:
For added fun at the event, the Storm Chasers’ mascot, Stormy, and the Omaha Steaks’ mascot, Sizzle, will attend to mingle with players and their families. Outlook Enrichment is the Nonprofit of the Day at the Omaha Storm Chasers game on Sunday, April 28 at 2 p.m.
The onset of vision loss, especially in adulthood, frequently results in heightened isolation for those experiencing it. Outlook Enrichment provides unique opportunities for those dealing with vision impairment to come together, fostering lasting connections and a shared journey towards overcoming obstacles.
