The House of Afros, Capes, & Curls will present a new award to Omaha titan, Co-Founder & President/CEO of No More Empty Pots Nancy Williams at the 4th Annual AfroCon Omaha. The “Woman In Motion” award will be presented at a special VIP event on Friday, October 7th @ Millwork Commons that will feature a screening of the documentary Woman In Motion which chronicles the legacy of the late great Nichelle Nichols. The award ceremony takes place prior to a full day of panels, workshops, and gaming events on Saturday, October 8th @ the CAET Building on the MCC Fort Omaha Campus. Tickets for the VIP screening and award ceremony are $75 and also include admission to the full day of events Saturday. Tickets for Saturday only are $25 for general admission, $50 for generous admission, and $10 for K-12 students.

AfroCon Omaha is a community building event that includes curated conversations, workshops, and wellness activities to promote the empowerment of Black lives and Black Futures. It is an opportunity to support an ethnically diverse range of independent artists and businesses with an emphasis on organizations led by people of color.
