SHARE Iowa Giving Tuesday 712 Presented by the Community Foundation for Western Iowa

November 28, 2023, marks Giving Tuesday, a worldwide day dedicated to generosity and the most significant day of its kind in our local area. Giving Tuesday is a day dedicated to inspiring individuals to support a nonprofit that resonates with them through acts of kindness and financial support.

On Giving Tuesday Nov. 28, all day long, community members and nonprofits are encouraged to come to the Community Foundation for Western Iowa office on 536 East Broadway in Council Bluffs for check presentations, special guest appearances, and to be part of the excitement that giving creates. On that day, the Community Foundation is delighted to offer a variety of $1,000 hourly awards to SHARE Iowa nonprofit organizations taking part in this year’s Giving Tuesday. At the end of this special day of giving, everyone from across the region is encouraged to come to the Community Foundation for Western Iowa from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. to celebrate the success and generosity of SHARE Iowa Giving Tuesday 712.

This year, the Community Foundation for Western Iowa is earmarking $250,000 for a 20% match on charitable gifts to endowment funds within the Community Foundation. The 20% match is on gifts up to $100,000.00 per fund. Nonprofit organizations with an endowment fund with the Community Foundation can have supporters donate directly to their endowment fund through SHARE Iowa. Donors can visit SHAREgoodiowa.org. This special match is a gift from the Community Foundation during Giving Tuesday 712 to its nonprofit partners to amplify the impact of their generous donors.
