Security National Bank proudly announces the appointment of James “Jim” V. Huerter, III. as senior vice president, Nebraska market president, based at its Three Pacific Place headquarters at 1120 South 101st Street in Omaha, Neb. Huerter is among the third generation of the Landen family to lead the bank, continuing the legacy of his grandfather, the bank’s founder, Clarence L. “Mickey” Landen, Jr.
In his role as market president, Huerter will focus on fostering the sustained expansion of Security National Bank’s presence in Omaha and the surrounding areas. He leads the bank’s commercial banking, treasury management and private banking teams. He will continue to uphold the bank’s commitment to being community-minded in its day-to-day operations and promote collaboration within the bank.

Huerter has 13 years of banking experience and joined the bank in 2016. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from St. Louis University. Huerter earned the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy designation in 2021. He is a board member of Radius and serves on the Omaha Advisory Board of the Salvation Army. Huerter joined the bank’s board of directors in 2023.
