CBRE announced today that Joy Crimmins has joined the company as Sales Manager for its Omaha and Kansas City offices. In her new role, Ms. Crimmins will oversee a variety of critical business functions for the region including business development initiatives, collaboration with brokers to leverage the CBRE platform, recruiting and strategic team formation.
Ms. Crimmins has several years of experience in the region’s commercial real estate industry. Prior to joining CBRE, she served as Executive Director at the Urban Land Institute (ULI) where she was responsible for the overall strategy and direction of the local district council. Under her leadership, ULI expanded its programming and established new initiatives that aligned with its mission. Ms. Crimmins oversaw the effort to position ULI in Kansas City as an industry thought leader by partnering with experts from the organization’s peer cities to provide new perspectives and share best practices.

At ULI, Ms. Crimmins spearheaded the Kansas City district council’s effort to engage public and private sector organizations, working closely with the Downtown Council, Midtown KC Now, Greater KC Chamber, and most area municipalities to create relationships and expand awareness of the built environment. She also led the development, planning and delivery of more than 45 programs and events every year, including the Technical Assistance Panel & Advisory Services programs, the Real Estate Diversity Initiative, the UrbanPlan initiative, and the quarterly Inspire Series in partnership with the Greater KC Chamber.
