Smith Pauley Announces Merger with Rehan Law Firm of Sioux City

Smith Pauley LLP of Omaha has announced its merger with Rehan Law Firm, based in Sioux City, Iowa. The merger, effective July 1, 2023, will deliver greatly expanded services and opportunities for clients of both firms.

Rehan Law Firm’s founding attorney and owner, Bob Rehan, is a pillar of the Sioux City community and widely respected throughout Iowa for his expertise in real estate law, title reviews, and mediation.

The merger further solidifies Smith Pauley’s reputation as a trusted leader in the legal field with a growing geographic footprint across the Midwest, as well as an expanding offering of legal services, said Dan Pauley, a partner with Smith Pauley.

“This will prove to be a historic day for Smith Pauley, Rehan Law Firm and most importantly, the clients we serve,” Pauley said.

Rehan shared Pauley’s excitement for the merger, noting that it represents an investment in the future of the Omaha and Sioux City communities.

“Smith Pauley shares my unwavering commitment to clients and their needs,” Rehan said. “We both understand the legal profession is about helping people, and that includes their families, businesses and communities.”

With the merger, Smith Pauley’s clients will have access to attorneys experienced in corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, premier estate planning, real estate law, mediation, intellectual property, banking, title reviews, venture capital and growth, family law, civil litigation, and more.

Headquartered in Omaha and serving clients across the state and region, Smith Pauley formed in 2022 and is comprised of attorneys from the former Smith Slusky and several other like-minded attorneys who joined the firm. Smith Pauley and its 24 attorneys pride themselves on being a disruptive force in the field of law by offering the highest level of consultative service to clients. They’re also dedicated to a system of transparency for everyone on their team and don’t employ the historic pyramid model of staffing and compensation in law.
