We are excited to announce the appointment of Travis Schwartz to the Board of Directors of Omaha Bridges Out of Poverty. Travis has extensive experience with helping organizations grow and transform through process reengineering. As a native Nebraskan, Travis has held multiple non-profit leadership positions and looks to make an impact with his knowledge of process improvement and business technology.
OBOP Volunteer CEO Roger Howard said “Travis has generously shared his me and expertise to develop our technology plan and provided input on other business processes”.
As a Managing Partner at Meridian Business, Travis has worked with local non-profits on strategy, governance, technology, and process improvement. Travis is passionate about helping Omaha Bridges make a difference in the Omaha community by putting an end to poverty. Bridges provides a life skills educational program that empowers people to lift themselves out of poverty. “I met the Omaha Bridges team about 4 years ago and was amazed how committed and passionate they are about ending poverty. They have a life skills curriculum that would benefit a a large portion of our community. Learning these foundational strategies produces life changing results. I am really excited for this opportunity to give back to the community.”
Originally from Gering, NE, Travis studied Finance at UNL and his family have has called Omaha home for the last 24 years. Travis enjoys following and coaching his 3 boys in multiple activities. The Schwartz family are parishioners at St. Patrick’s Church in Elkhorn and have served in a variety of roles.
