What: United Way of the Midlands 2023 Annual Meeting

Why: To celebrate 100 years of serving the Omaha-Council Bluffs metro and recognize our corporate partners and individuals who have gone above and beyond to support our community.

Event Summary: During its Annual Meeting, UWM presented a program celebrating 100 years of UWM helping others and the impact donor investments and volunteer efforts are making in the Omaha-Council Bluffs metro. Nine area organizations were also recognized for their generous support during the 2022-23 campaign with the Campaign Partner of the Year Awards. Plus, Henry Davis, CEO of Greater Omaha Packing, was honored as the 2023 Citizen of the Year.

Special Guests: Dr. John O’Keefe with the Nebraska Department of Labor; State Senator Mike McDonnell; Councilman Pete Festersen; Mayor Jean Stothert and her Chief of Staff, Tom Warren.
