Voting Starts Now: 2023 OMA Tourism Awards Celebrate Local Businesses

OMAHA, NE. March 3, 2023 – More than 1,600 nominations were submitted over the last month, and now it’s time for the public to vote for the best attractions, restaurants, retail businesses and hotels in the metro area.

The Omaha Metropolitan Area (OMA) Tourism Awards honor businesses in Douglas, Sarpy and Pottawattamie counties that stand out and inspire travelers to visit the metro area.

Nominations were submitted in four categories: best hotel, best restaurant, best retail business and best attraction. The top five most nominated businesses in each county now move on to the final voting phase. In the event of a tie in the nomination process, there may be more than five in a category. See attached for a full list of finalists.

Vote online at OMATourismAwards.com through April 2, 2023.

The OMA Tourism Awards serve to highlight the best our local tourism community has to offer. Each winner is asked to select an employee they feel went above and beyond this past year to accept the award. The winner in each category in each county will be recognized with billboards and videos during National Travel & Tourism Week, May 7-13, 2023.

Visit Omaha, Sarpy County Tourism, and the Council Bluffs Convention & Visitors Bureau partner to present the OMA Tourism Awards each year to celebrate the more than 14,000 people who work in the local tourism industry.
